We went out!! To a club!!! With George's friends!!!
Why am I using so many exclamation points???!!!! (...I don't know)
It was such a cold night!
On the way to the club, George made his friend Dimitri pull over so he could jump out of the car scoop up some snow, open my car door and throw it on me!!! (There's nothing like a snow ball to get you ready for the club! I saved some for him when he got back in the car...I'm sure he enjoyed fishing out snow out of his shirt)
On the right, Dimitri and his girlfriend Charoula (the 'C' is silent) and on the left, Panayoti & his girlfriend, Fotini.
BATHROOM BREAK!!! There's a meeting in the ladies room--
(club bathroom pix are the best!)
George trying to look like a G... (not so much)
The clubs are very much the same as in LA... except for a few key things:
1-- your entrance fee 15 euros (like $20) also includes your first drink
2-- they close past 5am (I still can't believe last call in LA is at 1:15am-- ridiculous).
The music is pretty "lounge" like from about 11-midnight-- they played Sade!
Sade, at a club.... Then they kick up a notch with dance-able jams.
I like that they mix old school with new stuff...
I got dance to Bobby B's "My Perrogative" (pre-Whitney Bobby was the best!)
At around 2am, scandalously clad ladies crawled on to a lit stage and dance in their g-strings: that's entertainment!!! (Now I know what I can do for a job in Greece...you're right, maybe not. They couldn't handle it.)
The next night-- We thought, what should we do when it's freezing outside?! Go on the bike!!!
Ladies, this is what you look like if you don't bring the right clothes and have to wear your man's gear. You look, like a dork in a oversized jacket and skull cap.
OUR CHARIOT!!!!
It's our anniversary....
We met on August 13, 2010 at the Fresh Hotel rooftop bar in Athens, Greece. So on Dec. 13th-- we had to celebrate!!! I cooked again (this is more cooking than I do in LA)!
Over dinner we listened to wonderful Greek music, check out: Kazantzidis

That's right this man is old school (I don't mean the music, that's a given-- I mean George). He uses cassettes... (where do you even buy cassette tapes?)
What was on the menu? Peas. Yep, very sexy. Peas. Yellow ones. I thought I was making lentils...and then I realized they were peas. I hooked up those peas though!!! Curry, chilli pepper, black pepper...it was tasty!!!
(George wasn't very enthusiastic) He was like--
"Thank you. But, can I be honest? ...It's a bit too spicy for my taste"
Uh, I'm half Haitian and Jamaican!!! (and these peas were mild for me MILD!)
Thankfully, the Mythos beer helped him.

OK, this blog isn't just going to be just romantic galavanting. I'm going to get some fun photos of the sites and flavors of Peiarais and Athens, too!
More to come...
